With New Zealand gangs at war with each other and the police, it’s an environment that historically has been filled with trauma, addiction, violence, and suicide. Lucky Te Koha along with leaders within the gangs work to bring positive change to the lives of gang members and their Whanau.
Manu Atua focuses on celebrating the individuals within gangs who are making the hard decisions to break the cycle of pain and abuse. The actions of these men can set a new example to those around them, their whanau, their gangs, and the nation. Lucky Te Koha guides us into this world which he used to be a part of, as he encourages healing between people, their families, and even between rival gangs and the police.
