At Fantail Studios, we believe the Gospel deserves a global stage.

We have always seen media as a mission field: a way to take stories of hope, transformation and the love of Jesus to people who may never walk through the doors of a church. Our mission is to see the Gospel proclaimed through media around the world, so that the lost may be found and the found activated in their faith.

That's why we're excited to be coming alongside Creation Films as they bring a new television series to life: Reawakening: The Emmaus Experience.

This isn't simply a project we are funding or helping distribute. We're friends working together to make something happen, supporting Jonathan Warner and the Creation Films team as they finish a series we believe has the potential to reach people in a really significant way.

A journey of discovery

The title comes from one of the most remarkable encounters in the Gospels.

After the resurrection, two disciples are walking along the road to Emmaus, discouraged and confused. Jesus comes alongside them and begins walking with them. He listens. He talks with them. He opens the Scriptures. And eventually, their eyes are opened and they recognise Him.

That idea sits at the heart of Reawakening.

Jonathan isn't simply presenting a programme. Throughout the series, he is searching alongside the viewer. He asks questions that many Christians have asked themselves, and perhaps some that we haven't.

What does it really mean to surrender to Jesus?

How do we know God as Father?

What does intimacy with God look like in everyday life?

How do we hear His voice?

Who are we in Christ?

What does freedom really look like?

And what authority has Jesus given us?

Rather than presenting easy answers from a distance, Jonathan enters into these conversations, listens to Christian leaders and practitioners, and hears the stories of people whose lives have been changed by what they have encountered in God.

The result is a series that invites the viewer onto the journey with him.

Faith that is lived, not just talked about

One of the things we particularly love about Reawakening is that it brings together teaching and testimony.

Each of the seven episodes explores a foundational area of Christian discipleship, from Lordship and surrender through to identity, freedom and authority in Christ. But these aren't simply theological ideas. Each episode is grounded in the real stories of people who have experienced these things in their own lives.

That matters.

We believe the world needs more than Christian information. It needs to see what happens when the reality of Jesus changes someone's life.

That's something we've seen again and again through the stories we've had the privilege of telling at Fantail. A genuine testimony can open a door that an argument never could. It can make someone stop and think, “Could Jesus really be like that? Could He do something like that in my life?”

And sometimes that question is the beginning of a journey.

More than a television series

We're particularly excited about what Creation Films is building around the series.

The seven television programmes are being developed alongside podcasts, short-form videos and real-life testimonies, giving the content multiple ways to reach people, from someone who encounters a short clip online to someone who wants to spend an hour exploring a conversation in greater depth.

The ultimate vision is bigger than getting people to watch a programme.

It's about creating opportunities for people to encounter Jesus, ask questions and take a next step.

That's very close to our own heart at Fantail. We want to create media that finds the lost and activates the found: content that doesn't simply entertain or inform, but points people towards the reality of Jesus and encourages believers to live out their faith.

We're excited to be part of it

Creation Films is leading the charge on Reawakening, and we're grateful to be able to come alongside them.

Sometimes the most exciting thing about working in Christian media isn't making your own project. It's being able to recognise something God is doing through someone else and say, “How can we help?”

That's what this feels like.

We're honoured to support Jonathan and the Creation Films team as they finish Reawakening, and we're looking forward to seeing where these stories travel: across television screens, online platforms and into the lives of people who may be searching for something they can't quite put into words.

We believe Jesus is still meeting people on the road.

And we're excited to help tell those stories.
